Woah Snow!

As many people across the northwest are finding out that this has been the snow storm of the decade. We already have a total of 1o inches, six of those inches just today at least. I'm reminded of my childhood days during times like this. When my friends and I walked home with about an inch of snow falling and by the time we got home there was 6 inches in just about an hour. Back then in Dec 89 we must have had 12 inches fall. I think Seattle is getting pounded as bad if not worse now with snow. I was foolish and drove up to Lake Oswego (South Portland) to get to work this morning. I left my in-laws house at 3:15 am to get to work on time. I ended up driving home early from work because 4 inches of snow fell while I was at work so I didn't want to get stuck there.

We all stayed at my in laws because when we got home last night our power was out. Josiah was very confused why he could not watch TV or turn lights on. He soon was happy when he got his hands on a flashlight. Josiah has spent a ton of time with Nana and Papa playing in the snow. I was able to take out the quad and tear up the snow which was fun. Well as much fun as the snow has been I would like to see it go away because I have missed a lot of work. Missing work is nice but not nice ont he pocket book :( But God will provide and will continue to. Take care and share

  1. Thank you for the uplifting thoughts! I really hope that we can fly in on Wednesday. I was watching KGW online all day today and then we watch weather.com all day too. I think and know we will be flying in on Wednesday night. I am sorry that you left work early. I am glad that you tried! My dad has to drive in the snow since he is a Tri-Met bus driver. Very tiring for my dad!!!! I am glad that you are safe and sound with your family and your in-laws. Enjoy and be careful with that ATV!!!!! Merry Christmas and yes God will provide for your checkbook!!!! =)
