Woah Snow!

As many people across the northwest are finding out that this has been the snow storm of the decade. We already have a total of 1o inches, six of those inches just today at least. I'm reminded of my childhood days during times like this. When my friends and I walked home with about an inch of snow falling and by the time we got home there was 6 inches in just about an hour. Back then in Dec 89 we must have had 12 inches fall. I think Seattle is getting pounded as bad if not worse now with snow. I was foolish and drove up to Lake Oswego (South Portland) to get to work this morning. I left my in-laws house at 3:15 am to get to work on time. I ended up driving home early from work because 4 inches of snow fell while I was at work so I didn't want to get stuck there.

We all stayed at my in laws because when we got home last night our power was out. Josiah was very confused why he could not watch TV or turn lights on. He soon was happy when he got his hands on a flashlight. Josiah has spent a ton of time with Nana and Papa playing in the snow. I was able to take out the quad and tear up the snow which was fun. Well as much fun as the snow has been I would like to see it go away because I have missed a lot of work. Missing work is nice but not nice ont he pocket book :( But God will provide and will continue to. Take care and share

Winter Time

Hello all,

With a deployment to Iraq in the near future I thought a stop shop for information on what is going on in my life would be valuable. This way I can get the word out on how you can pray for me and what what I'm going through.

As of now I'm working on different ways to reach soldiers. Such as contemplating a 12 Step Study for soldiers struggling with addictions. I am also looking into buying a whole host of equipment (projector, lap top computer, software etc...) to best present the Gospel and worship during chapel services etc... If you want to help donate to this hey I wont turn that away. If you want details of my needs just ask. I'm also kicking around the idea of purchasing a DVD set called Men's Fraternity which is a great source tool to help men develop thier Christian manly identy. I'm still trying to come up with a woman's ministry tool because my Battalion is co-ed.

Now as for time lines of my deployment (in general) I will be in So. California for 20 days in April. Then 4 to 5 days back home then off to Ft Stewart Georgia for 2 months and then it's off Iraq in July for 9 months and returning state side in May 2o1o.
